Leitao Assado / Leitão Assado refers to Portugal's roast suckling pig that is flavored with various herbs. Leitao Assado is a speciality of Central Portugal.

Lemon Verbena is an herb used to add a delicate, lemon flavor to savory or sweet dishes. Also, Lemon Verbera is a lemon flavoured herb used to make tea, but is also used to flavour salads and some sweet dishes.

Lemongrass refers to the stalks of a grass with a distinct, lemon flavor, grown in tropical climates. Lemongrass is popular in Thai cooking. Lemongrass also refers to an herb which has long, thin, gray-green leaves which is considered one of the most important flavourings in Caribbean cooking.

Lievre is the French word for "Hare ". The most tender Hare (Lievre) are those which are less than one year old which is good for roasting. While older Hares are made into civets (Civet de Lièvre or jugged hare) There are available frozen Hares on the market which come from Central Europe and Argentina. Lievre is also a kind of fish called Blenny.
