Cha Shu Bow refers to a Chinese steamed bun with dry roasted pork filling.
Chub refers to a kind of fish related to the carp and minnow families. Chub is also a term used to describe short, usually plump meat that comes unsliced in a casing.
Consomme is French word referring to clear, strong flavored soup, broth or stock. The base may be a clear stock of beef, game or poultry. There are many varities or types of Consomme based on the other ingredients added to the basic stock, like vegetables, rice, noodles, meat, etc. Diffrerent types/varieties of Consomme are defined individually in the Glossary.
Convenience Food refers to a prepared product, such as a frozen or microwavable food, that is quick and easy to prepare. Convenience Food also gives rise to Convenience Stores, like 7-11 which is found in almost all countries in the world.
Cyclamate refers to an an artificial sweetener banned in the United States in 1969. It is still used in some countries.
Cha-Zuke refers to a Japanese dish made of cooked rice with various toppings and other ingredients over which green tea is poured. The toppings can be salmon or tarako. It is a suitable dish for making used of left over rice. Cha-zuke is also known as Chazuke or O-Cha-Zuke
