Kinunot is a dish from the Philippines, specifically from the Bicol Region which is made with a fish called Pagi (Stingray in English) or from the meat of a Shark. The fish meat is cooked or simmered in coconut milk with leafy green vegetable called Malunggay. Like any other dishes from the Bicol Region, Kinunot is spiced with red chili peppers.
Spicy food especially from red hot chili peppers or Siling Labuyo in Filipino is characteristics of the food from the Bicol Region. Spiciness of the dishes though varies from one household to the other.
Kuros is a food from the Philippines, particularly from the Ilocos Region. Kuros refers to shrimp fry, baby shrimps which is used in various Ilocano dishes, especially in its dry form called Daing a Kuros (dried shrimp fry) as an ingredient for dishes like Inabraw/Inabrao and Dinengdeng, among others.
Kichererbsen is the German word for chickepeas/ chick peas. Garbanzos in Filipino and Channa Dhal in Indian. Kichererbsensuppe is a German soup made of chick peas. Kichererbsen go well with many other food like tomatoes, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, chorizo, among others. They can also be a tasty ingredient for stews and soups. Hummus is one of the delicious foods that is made of chickpeas.
Personal Note: In Germany, I am told that I am a Kickernd, and my haircutter was not able to spell it to me, so she said that the word is spelled like Kichererbsen, thru the word Kichererbsen I learned a new German word to best describe myself. So when I was in Austria, my friend, Thomas said I am a "kichernd", he said I am always giggling "Du bist immer am Kichernd" .
Kartoffelpfluten refer to a potato dumplings with butter. Kartoffelpfluten is one of the specialties of Aargau, Switzerland.
Aargau is one of the regions in Switzerland which is known for its fruit and vegetable dishes. Aargau reaches as far as the Rhine River, so fish is also a popular ingredients in many of their dishes.

Kamias is a Filipino fruit with scientific name Averrhoa bilimbi. The fruit is green and edible, about four (4) centimeters long, subcylindric with five (5) obscure, broad, rounded, longitudinal lobes. Kamias is used as common seasoning for sweets and pickling and souring agent for some traditional Filipino dish called Sinigang and Paksiw.
Kuhol is the Filipino word for edible snails known as Escargot in French and Schneken in German. Kuhol is most often cooked in the Philippines with coconut milk and they are now being served as an Appetizer in some big restaurants in the Philippines serving traditional Filipino food.
Kuhol cooked in coconut milk is called Ginataang Kuhol.
Kuhol is called Bisukol in Ilocano.
Personal Note: The last time I ate Ginataang Kuhol was when i was pregnant with my only child while I was still working as a Statistical Researcher in the Philippines. My office was near the school where my younger sister was studying to be a Physical Therapist. It was long time ago, my son is now 26 years old and my sister is now an accomplished Physical Therapist. I miss Ginataang Kuhol, but in Bremen, Germany whereI am living now with my German husband, I have no idea where to buy fresh Kuhol and cook Ginataang Kuhol, the Filipino way.
