Pinkel refers to a kind of German sausage made from groats (Grütze). Moreover, Pinkel refers to a smoked sausage from Germany that is made from raw bacon, onions and groats. It is classified as "Kochwürste" (cooked sausage) and is the specialty of the Northern region of Germany, like Bremen and Hamburg.

Pinkel is usually serve with Kale (Grünkohl) for Kohl und Pinkel, a traditional Northern German dish.
