Phan refers to Bengali gruel drained out of rice water.

Pinda is Bengali word which literally means "lump". It actually refers to a cooked rice and fish made into light balls (like a "lump") which is made as an offering to appease the ancestors and the dead persons during a Hindu funeral.

Phoron refers to Bengali flavoring agent or a mixture of spices which is used to season many Bengali dishes. It literally means "five spices" and is a spice blend commonly used in Eastern India and Bangladesh. It consists of the following 5 seeds: Cumin, Brown Mustard, Fenugreek, Nigella and Fennel. All dals are flavored with Phoron then fried in ghee or oil. Phoron is also known as Panch Phoron, Panch Phoran or Paanch Phoron.

Pitha refers to Bengali's sweet or savory foods made from rice flour or cream of wheat which are often prepared during the winter season when the newly harvested Atap rice is grounded to make the flour. Atap literally means "untouched by heat" refers to husked rice that is not parboiled.

- Posirti (Bacon) : Posirti bacon refers to one of the authentic meat products from Cyprus which is made of pork chest. Posirti matures in salted wine for 10 days and then smoked over burning wood for another 20 days at a rate of 2-3 times daily. Posirti is normally cut into into cubes when served and served fried, grilled or cold sprinkled over with Cyprus dry oregano.

Palacinky refers to Czech Republic's version of thin pancakes spread with jam, rolled, and topped with powdered sugar.
