Sobrasada Mallorquina refers to a kind of sausage; one of the specilaties of Mallorca, Spain. Sobrasada Mallorquina is very similar to Chorizo. It is also packed full of paprika that gives it a deep red color.
It can served as snacks (Merienda) by cutting it into thin slices and spread over warm bread and can also be cooked in the oven with a drizzle of honey, or lightly grilled and topped with cheese. It is also used for making various dishes,
Picture bleow is me eating Italian ice cream in Mallorca while admiring a store full of this Majorcan specialty. It is nice to have a family in Mallorca, we got to visit them and enjoy with our family the traditional food of the place.
Schnittlauch is the German word for "Chives". After cutting them in small pieces, my mother use it as toppings for her delicious Pancit Bihon, a noodle dish in the Philippines. In Germany, when it is in season and there are so many that sprung in my garden, I used them as ingredients together with onions and tomatoes for everything that I cook or as toppings for salads.

Surhaxen is a German word for "boiled knuckle". Surhaxen is also known as Schweinshaxe, Haxe, Stelze, Eisbein.
These days, pickled meat is regarded as a delicacy in Austria. Surhaxen which is also defined as pickled pigs’ trotters is one of the specialties of the Mostviertel, the cider-producing region of Lower Austria. Surhaxen is made from fresh pigs’ trotters which are re left to soak in brine for four (4) to six (6) weeks, at the end of which they are rubbed with garlic, roasted in the oven and served with a warm white cabbage salad (Sauerkraut ).
Sambar is referring to a South Indian vegetable curry that is made largely from lentils. It is a famous and traditional South Indian stew made mainlywith vegetables (eggplant, squash etc) cooked with crushed lentils, onions, chillies, Coriander and Turmeric and with a pinch of Asafoetida.
Note: I was blessed enough to enjoy this dish during my stay in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It was even prepared tradionally and authentically by Kerala's housewives so it was much, much better than what is served iin restaurants.
Seize refers to a verb that describes an action, i.e. chocolate seizes when water is added, usually accidentally, during melting.
